    Biographical note:

    Ana Bela Morais (PhD, Univ. of Lisbon, 2011) is a Post-Doc Researcher. She holds a PhD Degree in Cultural Studies from the University of Lisbon (thesis: “Healing processes: How deep are the wounds? A Reading of violence in seven contemporary films”) and she is currently a Post-Doc student at the same Programme with the project “Cinema and Censorship: love and violence in Portugal and Spain (1968-1974)”. In addition to her Post-Doc program, she is currently a member of CEC as part of the Group DIIA.  She also collaborates with the project “Censorship and control mechanisms in cinema and theater, before, during and after Portuguese Estado Novo”, from the Research Center Media & Journalism at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences from New University of Lisbon.
