Biographical Note:

Joana Moura (MA, SUNY Stony Brook, 2011) is a PhD student. She holds a Masters Degree in Comparative Literature from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and she is currently a PhD student at the same Program. She currently holds a doctoral grant from FCT to complete her PhD thesis entitled “Mistranslation and the Mis-uses of Literary Tradition”.  In addition to her PhD program, she is a member of CEC as part of the project Literatura-Mundo: Perspectivas em Português . Her research interests include translation and literary theories and 20th century German Literature. She is currently preparing an article for publication on Peter Handke and mistranslation.
